I've never used jwma-webmail, nor looked into it's implimentation. I'm certain it won't work for direct database access to your dbmail database unless it's written to do so - you could use it as an imap or pop3 client if it supports it. It may be relatively easy to make it support direct access to a dbmail database, or it may preclude redesign and rewriting the app almost from the ground up, I really don't know.
