Hi me again

I done exactly what you told me to do
first step i inserted the aliases into dbmail
by doing
insert into dbmail.aliases (alias,deliver_to) values
('[EMAIL PROTECTED]',21),('[EMAIL PROTECTED]',21);
no error was given to me when i issued this coomand so i think that
everything is correct

anyway this is what i see in the database after all that
21 postmaster [EMAIL PROTECTED] 21 0
2061 [EMAIL PROTECTED] 21 0
2062 [EMAIL PROTECTED] 21 0

Is this correct , if so what else do i need to do to send mail outside,
my log file tells me that it sends mail to postmaster but not the other
aliases

What do u think?

Is this correct or did i stuff up if it is here is what i see in the
database

>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 09/23/02 15:57 PM >>>
Hello Abdulla,

D> Does it matter if the other user is not on the same domain

No, it does not - any alias can point to any destination address. If
the destination is a local mailbox, it is faster to use its number,
because dbmail doesn't have to do another lookup to find the final
address, but, the destination doesn't even have to be hosted on the
dbmail machine!

I take advantage of this to have "postmaster" for all domain and all
mail servers I operate point to a single account on our main mail
server. It cuts down on the number of places I have to log into for
mail, since I'm already running nearly 30 accounts and over 50
aliases...
