Actually, this second one is preventing me from using dbmail for my home
setup.

The thing is, I have e-mail archived going back to 1993 or so. At that
time, I was using MS-DOS, dialing into a Solaris box. If I had stored
my mail in either a proprietary Solaris format (e.g. some DBM variant)
or using DOS program (e.g. DBASE IV) then I would either have to write
some program to decipher the message format or just not be able to read
it.

So for archiving, I like plain text. I *could* do something as simple
as using mysqldump, which gives you almost plain text, but I'd like to
be able to do something like:

$ dbmail-user2mboxen username password directory

I've been planning on putting together a Perl or Python script to do
this, but to be honest have been unable to pull myself away from
Civilization III.  :(

If you have a utility for either of the above, please send them my way!
