I'd like to thank the folks that replied to my question about the missing mysql.h file. Installing the mysql-devel package worked nicely.
Naturally the libmysql file was missing. Applying a variation of the earlier solution, I installed the shared files. That worked, too. So, thanks twice! Jeff Engel
