Job Title : Java/J2ee Developer with insurance experience
Location : Wilmington, DE
Duration : 12 months Contract
Rate : Open
A J2EE programmer is required to enhance, support and assist in future
implementations of the POS (Point Of Sales) Application. POS is a Web Based
insurance policy entry system which is used by agents and business partner
sales representatives to enter insurance applications, issue and submit
policies to our backend systems.
Related responsibilities include:
* Participate in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle
* Prepare technical documentation.
* Work on all different layers of the application, including UI front end
and server back end.
* Develop system and object models to support proposed architecture.
* Develop SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data access.
* Contribute to the development and execution of unit, system,
integration,stress and user acceptance testing.
* Analyze and Resolve complex production issues
Qualifications:
* 5 years J2EE development experience
* Familiar with Struts, XML, Web Services and AJAX
* Familiar with OO methodology and OO development cycle.
* Good analytical skills and problem solving.
* Able to work independently in a team environment.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to understand business requirement; insurance industry is strongly
preferred
