HOT Storage Engineer Jersey City, NJ for 6+ months Job Title: Storage Engineer location :Jersey City, NJ Duration :6+ months Required Skills: • Working knowledge of multiple storage technologies – Hardware (EMC, Hitachi, and IBM), Configuration Tools (EMC Control Center, Hitachi Hi-Command etc.), Volume Management Tools (Veritas Volume Manager, EMC PowerPath), Tape Archival (Veritas Netbackup) and geographic data replication technologies. • Experience with SAN Switching Fabrics / protocols: Cisco, Fiber Channel, Fiber Channel over Internet Protocol (FCIP), iSCSI, FICON. • Experience working in mid to large scale storage environments of 100TB+. • Out-of-the-box thinker driven to lower costs using conventional/non-conventional solutions. • Vendor certifications in storage related solutions desired. • Financial Services industry experience desired. • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and processes desired. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be able to prepare, present, and maintain technical documentation. • Excellent computer skills are necessary in Microsoft Word, Excel, Presentation, Project, and Visio. • 5+ years storage management, or related, experience overall (2+ years storage analysis and design coupled with 3+ years of storage administration or engineering).
