Position : Cognos Developer Location : Pittsburg, PA Duration : Full Time Postion SalaryRange : $ 58 - 60 K Job Functions: The candidate is required to have a minimum of 2 years experience developing applications using Enterprise level BI reporting tools. The candidate must have experience with Cognos version 8 and higher. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with writing and optimizing stored procedures for SQL Server. Previous experience interacting with business unit managers/directors in gathering requirements for reporting is essential. Develops custom code & scripts to support delivery & presentation of Data Warehouse data Assists with the creation of business intelligence development standards & processes Consults with project sponsors regarding information flow & content, including the facilitation of information gathering sessions Works with Business Analyst and/or users to understand business reporting requirements Knowledge of data base methodology, principles and procedures Utilization of software and techniques in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets Design and production of comprehensive computerized data queries and reports Experience: 3 years experience with Cognos, most recent experience with 8.3 preferred Experience with SSIS scripts or Framework manager Must have worked in a heterogeneous environment & successfully integrated multiple sources of data Experience with dimensional models, analytics and reporting, business analysis, data analysis, logical data modeling is highly desirable.
