I am going to re-enter the question under a corrected title since I used wrong terminology. This is about the “module groups button bar” that does not show up anymore. Instead I only get the search field and the list of active modules. I did not find any shortcut, button or setting that handles this. I fully wiped DT and re-installed it to obtain this module groups button bar back. That the order in the right bar differs from the order in the history stack is normal, history stack shows modules in the order you added/modified them (oldest at the bottom), iirc the right bar shows them in order of application in the pixel pipe (lowest first).
