Hi,

I am running darktable 3.5.0~git1147.fdd27dbc7-1 (actuall the problem
exists with each version after3.5.0~git848.05dfc1d48-1 )under Linux Mint
20.1 (Ubuntu 20.04). Since installation of the 20.1 system I found jpg
and tiff-files are rendered much too dark in Nemo and Pix, display is
o.k. in Gimp, Gthumb, Lightzone. With Geequie it looks as though the
picture is too dark in the beginning, some layer being added in the last
step which makes it look o.k. The same issue was see when downgrading to
a 3.1 - version. Version 3.4.1 works all right. My system is "out of the
box" concerning color management settings. I am not sure whether I saw
this issue in Mint 20.0 - can't remember when I last run a Darktable 3.1
but I am pretty sure I would have noticed.

Best regards

Bernd
