You are just on wrong repository for official 3.4.0 release.
The 3.4.0 stable release is on darktable repository in Opensuse:

<https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=graphics:darktable&package=darktable>
And not in darktable:stable one. In that one, you have the 3.4.0-git15
that you note.
You could see all repositories regarding your distrib in that page
(click on display experimental packages (yellow button):

Latest 3.4 via github is 0e4ecc1
Master branch builds are fine.
