Hi developers, hi Heiko,

I used negadoctor for aproximately 500 edits until now. And it worked mostly failure-free.

When the negadoctor module is used in combination with the haze removal module then the haze removal must be applied after RGB inversion via negadoctor.  This means the haze removal module must be moved along the pixel pipe from its default position to just after the negadoctor.

same for combination of negadoctor and tone equalizer.

And I sometimes observe an issue (?) with the eyedropper of D max. In most cases (>95%) it works as expected, but sometimes D max is set to 6 db (maximum value possible) resulting in an almost completely black image. Up to now I could not find any system for the appearance of this effect. The workflow I start editing negatives is always the same :

 * white balance (to remove color cast caused by light source)
 * negadoctor -> film properties -> eyedropper for color of film base
 * negadoctor -> eyedropper for D max
 * negadoctor -> alternately fine tuning of D max and scan exposure bias

Best regards

Peter Harde
