Hello There is a serious bug (possible dataloss) in git master. If some image is selected in lightable, darkroom mode is entered and another image is selected, returning to lighttable returns selection to the image, selected previously in lighttable. The selection lost transparency between darkroom and lighttable. It has happened sometimes ago in the git.
