Yes, it's a bad habit. Does it bother? :)
My email client doesn't load attachments unless I tell it to. Most
clients nowadays don't.
Yes it does bother, not all mailers are selective about that.
It is a rather selfish indulgence to assume that all mail group users need
or want to have the attachment, so providing a link to the attachment is
simply good etiquette.
