Hi,

The darktable 3.0.0rc0 release is out.

just observed some odd behavior: Resetting all parameters of the local contrast module via the module's reset button yields:

* detail 125%
* highlights 50%
* shadows 50%
* midtone range 0.5

resetting the individual sliders via double clicking the corresponding sliders yields, however,

* detail 120%
* highlights 100%
* shadows 100%
* midtone range 0.2

This is probably related to
https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/commit/da297721fcea3c47090c944f72ece1263a6f09c4

and

https://github.com/rabauke/darktable/commit/ab1109c012376d91d230201e05b9e6104ee2b739

The old default parameters (detail = 120%, highlights = 100%, shadows = 100%, midtone range = 0.2) had a more neutral effect. I think it is very difficult to come up with some good defaults for this versatile module. Depending on the desired effect (increasing or decreasing local contrast, compressing or stretching highlights and shadows) parameters can differ significantly. I would prefer to go back to the old defaults or even choose detail = 100% as a default, i.e., no local contrast adjustment.

PS: What is the preferred place to report issues particularly for the release candidate? Github might be more suitable, but rc issues might get lost among other general issues.
