Hi,

sorry for the huge delay in my response. It turns out that I didn't get any
of the replies to my question and have only now spotted them in the online
darktable mail archive. I've now subscribed to the users mailing list --
hopefully I'll actually receive replies from now on.

Anyways, I use Manjaro linux and darktable 2.6.1. Although I do use Nvidia
graphics and openCL, I've tested the HDR function without openCL enabled,
and it gives the same result. The camera is a Canon EOS 5D, producing Canon
CR2 raw files. From other posts I tend to get the feeling that Canon CR2 is
known for causing issues in darktable and other software.

Some replies have referred to overexposed highlights. Firstly, the entire
image has a uniform magenta cast to it. This is not just an issue with
highlights. Secondly, merging an HDR from images that do not have
overexposed highlights somewhat defeats the purpose of HDR, does it not?

The magenta cast is not caused by misalignment of the images by a few
pixels, is it? I would assume that I would be getting a whole range of
funky colors if that were the case.

I've uploaded one example set of images here:

Thank you,
mk
