Nope, not in this case. I just reproduced it while keeping mouse right in the 
center of "the big preview" (i.e. not over the film roll).

The wrongly selected next image is highlighted in the same way as if mouse was 
over it though.

PS:
Offtopic, but this hover-to-rate-something-else thing is a bit weird IMO.
When you're doing keyboard-only pre-selection of photos ("space, r, space, r, 
space, 2, ...") you can accidentally kick your mouse to the film roll and get 
some unexpected results.
