Oh, OK.  This is what I currently have, maybe the libraries were
included in updated packages since 1 Oct.

libraries from ILM used by OpenEXR
ii  libopenexr-dev      2.2.0-10ubuntu2 amd64        development files
for the OpenEXR image library
ii  libopenexr22:amd64  2.2.0-10ubuntu2 amd64        runtime files for
the OpenEXR image library
