It can be the original CR2 from the same example, if you can find it or get it from OP. Or a similar scene that shows the same defect. I've got a theory about a possible fix, so I'd like to look into it. Basically, in some cases the noise has no longer zero mean, so it's affecting the overall colors (rather than just introducing random variations). If you know the noise profile, it might be possible to find adjustment curves that can undo the hue shift ( http://i.imgur.com/VhL5FKC.png ) to get something like this: http://i.imgur.com/gDJtRnz.jpg (which would still have noise, but overall, the shadows should be dark gray, not magenta). > That's luminance noise and certainly not a problem to me.
