It appears that exports are about twice as fast with OpenCL enabled on
my system:
OpenCL markesteijn-1: 0.281 secs
OpenCL markesteijn-3: 0.492 secs
CPU markesteijn-1: 0.544 secs
CPU markesteijn-3: 1.273 secs
Don't forget to tell me your hardware setup (Graphics Card, GPU memory,
CPU type, system memory).
Graphics card is an AMD R9 280 with 3GB RAM:

measurement. Does darktable react more "snappy" with OpenCL or just the
opposite?
Definitely significantly snappier. The lag between moving the image and
it turning from blurry to sharp is really noticeable with the CPU
codepath but almost gone with opencl.
