Anarcho-socialists"? You must be reading Bryan the "anarcho"-capitalist Caplan's FAQ.

An Anarchist FAQ http://www.anarchistfaq.org is much more represenative of the anarchist movement as a whole, both contemporarily and historically.

Most(if not all) anarchists are socialists, but I suppose that depends on your definitions of anarchy and socialism.

The largest anarchist organizations have been anarcho-syndicalist labor unions (like the CNT and CGT of Spain, the SAC of Sweden, etc.... an anarcho-communist federations like the Korean People's Association in Manchuria (KPAM), or guerilla armies like the Insurgent Army of the Ukraine (Makhnovists). Most anarcho-syndicalist labor unions have "libertarian communism" or "anarcho-communism" as their stated goal; so usually the distinction is a matter of emphasis on strategy and tactics.

Among the green anarchists, Sociali Ecologists (including libertarian municipalists) are explicitly anarcho-communists; and many primitvists and others also claim a communal/collective economy as a goal. Again, the difference is strategy and tactics... as it is between Green and Red anarchists.

Anarcho-feminism usually embodies the anarchist ideas and actions against patriarchy, the oldest and most entrenched hierarchy in society. Most anarchists would claim an affinity for anarcho-feminist theory; but whether it is central to their activity (again, with the strategy and tactics) is another matter.

Most anarcho-individualists would consider themselves socialists. Do they all believe in a market economy? Well, that's a a larger discussion than I want to get into.

Class struggle anarchists have done more fighting against the Bolsheviks and Stalinists than individualists ever have.

Manichaeanism originated with the Parthian aristocrat Mani (216-276) who was influenced by gnosticism, Christianity, and other religions of the era. Manichaeanism holds that principles of Light and God contend with Darkness and Matter for hegemony over the cosmos. Human beings in bondage to Darkness and Matter can free themselves to unite with Light and God through severe ascetic practices and adherence to the teachings of the Manichaean elect, who shall one day be united with the Light. Manichaeanism thrived in the ancient world as a missionary religion. Augustine of Hippo was attracted to the Manichaeans in his youth before becoming a Christian.
