What my boss does: "I work with public companies and wealthy private individuals that are looking to purchase businesses between $1 million and $50 million both in the United States and overseas. The business I am involved in is called, Mergers and Acquisitions, and it pays extremely well."
How he does it: "I use Search Engines to look for ‘businesses for sale’ that match what the buyers are looking for. Then I send the buyer a report (called a Mergers and Acquisitions Report) telling about the business for sale."
How he gets paid: "I get paid either by the business buyer or the business seller for my services as a Finder (called an M&A Intermediary). The amount I get paid is 10% of the selling price. For example, if the business is sold to a buyer for $4 million (average sales price) than the commission I receive from the escrow company is $400,000."
Why he is looking for an Associate: "Business is booming. I have more requests from business buyers than I can handle on my own. I am currently working with hundreds of business buyers and can only do the research for five or six of them at a time. You don't need to be an attorney or have an MBA degree, good common sense is most important and the willingness to learn a new career."
What he is offering: "I am looking for someone who has some business experience and is good at doing research on the Internet. For the right person I am willing to share the fees earned on a 50/50 basis. As an Associate you should be motivated and want to earn a starting income of $150,000+ your first year doing research part-time (up to 10 hours per week) as you learn the business."
