So what's needed is a WinModem bridge which allows anyone with a broadband connection to host VoIP calls to local numbers. Remote users could connect from a cybercafe for improved anonymity. If one were to have a bearer cash system people could resell their phone lines. Of course, you have to trust the providers not to eavesdrop ;-)
