Signs of Intelligence: Massachusetts Supreme Court Eases Up On Sodomy

It's hoped that this will give less power to law enforcement to be prejudiced against homosexuals...
In a decision welcomed historic by gay civil rights groups, Massachusetts's Supreme Court made a change in the existing sodomy laws. They ruled that those who engage in "sodomy" (thanks to Gregster, we know that they really mean anal sex, but are just confused with their terminology) in "semipublic places" cannot be prosecuted as long as they try to keep it private.
On one hand, I disagree with this ruling. Personally, I'd kinda prefer that such things be a little more private than "semipublic". However, as this ruling puts gays and straights on a little more equal ground regarding where and what they can do, it narrowly wins as a sign of intelligence.
