I think it would be worthwhile to cultivate a list of Mom & Pop
reasons to encrypt email.  Later in your post you mention email
that gets into a search engine.  Violations of interpersonal
contracts (sexual affairs, seeking a new job covertly) are a good
start -don't want your SO or boss to know.  Also the
chance of misaddressing, which might get worse with more TLDs -was
it [EMAIL PROTECTED] or @May.xxx?  Hell, cc them all, but use crypto so
only that fellow who handed you his key can read them.  Think lawyers
and faxes and their hilarious "If this isn't for you its illegal to read
this" cover sheets.  

On neighbors not having sniffers: Wait until some high-end (french, heh)
hotel gets busted for sniffing the hotel's LAN... you'll see a bit more
crypto use after that.
