And their claims need not be borne out. Look at the tightening of air
travel regulations following TWA-800 a few years ago. It was almost
immediately declared that the cause _could_ have been a bomb smuggled
on board, and so some additional police-state restrictions were
slapped on. The bomb-on-board theory was shot down (pun intended)
almost immediately, but the restrictions remain.
