there were various reasons not to, mentioned only recently on this very
list.
I'm personally filtering all mail from toad.com directly into the big
bit void, and the volume of spam has dropped considerably. I would
almost say that on good days it's close to zero.
no idea how many interesting postings I miss, but from the replies it
seems that it's been only a few (maybe one per week on average).
