A Russian national accused of manipulating crypto markets through a
market-making service he founded called Gotbit has struck a plea deal with
Massachusetts federal prosecutors in which he copped to charges of
conspiracy to commit market manipulation and wire fraud and agreed to
forfeit about $23 million in cryptocurrency.
