Business groups led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are asking the
California Supreme Court to throw out a suit alleging Gilead Sciences Inc.
deprived customers of a safer form of its HIV drug for profits, saying the
current ruling creates an untenable duty and liability even when there's no
harmful defect in a product.
