Wells Fargo, Goldman Escape Some Climate Proxy Proposals

The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Wells Fargo & Co. may exclude from their
upcoming proxy statements shareholder proposals calling for reports on
their clients' climate change commitments, according to the U.S. Securities
and Exchange staff, which also wouldn't let Wells Fargo or Texas
Instruments Inc. escape including separate labor and human rights-related
proposals.
