Lt. Gen. Kwast most recently served as Commander of the Air
Education and Training Command (AETC) at Joint Base San Antonio
(JBSA), but retired in August. According to some reports, Kwast
was prematurely relieved of his duties at JBSA

that he should be appointed as Commander of the Pentagon's
