GNU libtool is a generic library support script. Libtool hides the complexity of using shared libraries behind a consistent, portable interface.
This is a bugfix and feature enhancement update. [[ compiled using gcc-3.4.4-999 ]] Unless there are serious issues with this package, it is likely to be the last version of libtool released for cygwin-1.5. This release differs from the simultaneously-released libtool-2.2.7a-14 for cygwin-1.7 in only trivial ways. CHANGES SINCE 2.2.7a-4 ================================= * Updated to latest git master version (2009-06-30, 00558363daebeb41c02ab8eaa9cb5218caf97867 * Still has 72kB of cygwin-specific patches (review backlog upstream) Test results -- old tests: All 113 tests passed 2 tests were not run Test results -- new tests: ERROR: 80 tests were run, 4 failed (3 expected failures). 8 tests were skipped. The lone unexpected failure 73: installable libltdl appears to be a false alarm. The test claimed to be unable to remove a particular directory because it wasn't empty -- but when checked later, it was empty. Could not reproduce. -- Charles Wilson volunteer libtool maintainer for cygwin ==================================================================== To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page.
