Hi! (plase CC me, as I am not subscribed; I will check the list, but then can not properly reply)
I noticed that diff -u Portmon.log _viminfo (using diffutils 2.8.7-1) puts tabs into the header, like this: --- Portmon.log 2008-07-25 13:57:56.631375000 +0200 +++ _viminfo 2009-01-21 13:56:23.715740300 +0100 @@ -1,393 +1,401 @@ after the filename and before the date is a TAB char. Apparently other versions of diff do not do that and patch chokes on it. I discovered this when trying to send a patch to a project and they rejected it because of this tab chars. Any clue what is going on ? I have an up to date cygwin setup on WinXP pro SP3.
