I have updated the version of mt on cygwin.com to 2.3.2-1. This version is a maintainance release. It fixes a few formatting issues and it uses a dynamic rather than a static pathname buffer to avoid potential buffer overflows.
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system.
