Hello, I've seen hints of this on the web, but no full explanation.
I'd like to drag a folder from Windows Explorer (XP) and drop it on the cygwin desktop shortcut, causing a cygwin (bash) shell to open in the folder directory. This seems to work fine on one of my XP/cygwin computers. On two other installations, the cygwin (bash) shell opens, but in the home directory, not the folder directory. I see the same behavior dragging folders to a Command Prompt shortcut. I'm aware of chere (the Bash Shell Here context menu item). I'd just like to have this drag and drop technique working as well. Thanks, R. Trevor ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
