Version 2.6.9-1 of rsync has been uploaded. rsync is a file transfer program. rsync uses the 'rsync algorithm' which provides a very fast method for bringing remote files into sync. It does this by sending just the differences in the files across the link, without requiring that both sets of files are present at one of the ends of the link beforehand.
Please notice that unpatched 2.6.9 rsync has a security bug that might (or might not) affect it, depending on your use case. http://secunia.com/advisories/26493/ A new rsync-2.6.9-2 package containing a patch to this problem will be available on the mirrors very shortly.
