This is what I run in a dailly basis: C:\cygwin\bin>rxvt.exe -bg black -fg grey -sr -sl 1000 -ls -e /usr/bin/bash 32 [main] ? (5056) C:\cygwin\bin\rxvt.exe: *** fatal error - system shared memory version mismatch detected - 0x75BE0084 /0x2D1E009C. This problem is probably due to using incompatible versions of the cygwin DLL. Search for cygwin1.dll using the Windows Start->Find/Search facility and delete all but the most recent version. The most recent version *should* reside in x:\cygwin\bin, where 'x' is the drive on which you have installed the cygwin distribution. Rebooting is also suggested if you are unable to find another cygwin DLL.
I did the search. There is only one cygwin1.dll in my whole drive (only one partition). Also, "C:\cygwin\bin" is in the %path% and I ran rxvt.exe from the "C:\cygwin\bin" folder. Other binaries return the same error. Only the first caracters change. Other returns: 35 [main] ? (5544) C:\cygwin\bin\grep.exe: 31 [main] ? (5616) C:\cygwin\bin\ls.exe: 35 [main] ? (5368) C:\cygwin\bin\less.exe: 28 [main] ? (2328) C:\cygwin\bin\ssh.exe: I also deleted cygwin1.dll and reinstalled the cygwin package. 1.5.24-cr-0x5f1 is the product version. -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
