I've just updated the version of cpio to 2.7-1. This is an official upstream release. The Cygwin version has been built from the vanilla sources. cpio passes all (two) tests in the testsuite.
What's new in 2.7? * Improved error checking and diagnostics * Bugfixes ** Fixed CAN-1999-1572 ** Allow to use --sparse in both copy-in and copy-pass. ** Fix bug that eventually caused copying out the same hard-linked file several times to archive. ** Fix several LFS-related issues. ** Fix Debian bug 335580. To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
