All of the above worked fine with 1.5.18, and I believe versions
1.5.19.[123]
I just tried all the snapshots back to 2005-12-15, and none work. Only going
back to 1.5.18 seems to fix the problem, but breaks other things in the
up-to-date cygwin distribution.
