Do you have some third-party background process (antivirus scanner or desktop search engine) that is keeping newly-created files open just a bit too long? This error message is typical on such short-lived files, and the solution is to disable the background scanner (or at least limit it to non-cygwin directories). - -- Life is short - so eat dessert first!
