I reproduced this bahaviour with the most recent snapshot 20050206. $ cat /usr/share/doc/mutt-1.4.1/manual.txt | tee tmp2.txt | head -4100 > /dev/null tee: standard output: Broken pipe tee: write error Unfortunately, the recent fix of cgf in the piping code seems not to fix this isssue.
