I have updated the version of cron on cygwin.com to 3.0.1-13. This version adds a patch by Xavier Nodet: - Only reopen stdio file descriptors on /dev/null if daemon has forked. - Resync timer if time difference is unusually big. This solves problems with hanging cron after hibernation.
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system.
