Hello, I'm trying to install Cygwin on a new machine at a new Job and I'm having trouble getting the setup program to work with the 'appropriate' proxy.
I select the 'Use IE5 Settings' and get the message: "Can't get list of download sites. Make sure your network settings are correct and try again." However, I am able to access the file located at [http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/mirrors.lst] through IE (version 6.0 on Windows XP). Here are the contents of my setup.log.full: 2004/07/28 13:02:41 Starting cygwin install, version 2.427 2004/07/28 13:02:41 Current Directory: C:\opt\cygwin 2004/07/28 13:02:41 Changing gid to Users 2004/07/28 13:02:41 Could not open service McShield for query, start and stop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, EMAIL := USERNAME AT DOMAIN USERNAME := 'dougvanhorn' AT := '@' DOMAIN := 'yahoo.com' __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo!
