When copying an EXE file there is no problem when the target does not exist but it fails for me when the target is present leaving a directory in place of the desired file.
Below is the sequence of commands to reproduce this. [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ $ mkdir exetest [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ $ cd exetest [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/exetest $ cp /bin/ls.exe fred.exe [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/exetest $ ls -l total 48 -rwxrwxrwx 1 Administ None 71680 Jul 10 19:31 fred.exe [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/exetest $ cp /bin/ls.exe fred.exe cp: writing `fred.exe': Invalid request code [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/exetest $ ls -l total 0 drwxrwxrwx+ 2 Administ None 0 Jul 10 19:31 fred.exe This is on a fully up to date cygwin installation. cygcheck.out attached.
