The cygwin terminal mouse position reports (requested with ESC [ ? 1000h) interfere with the DOS box scrollbar: When the display is scrolled down, position reports do not indicate the correct position on the screen but rather add the offset by which the display has been scrolled down. On the other hand, cursor positioning (by ESC [ p ; p H) refers to the visible screen area. So application-driven cursor control and terminal feedback of cursor position are inconsistent and the feedback is useless for the application.
