I am coding an frontend application with Delphi 6 and using Postgre on Cygwin as a backend. The connection is made via dbExpress Driver.
The problem is that i cant compile and run the application directly from the Delphi IDE. It compiles fine but takes too much time to connect to the database.
The most interesting is that when i close the cygwin bash window the application connects and opens immediately.
Can someone help me, please?
