Note that there are a couple of patches to the generic build script floating around in the cygwin-apps archives. Also, it might pay to look at the sources of a bunch of Cygwin packages that use the generic build script, and compare/extract the good bits/parameterize the differences. I'm sure people (read: package maintainers) will appreciate a new release of the generic build script, and it will also make it easier to eventually switch to an RPM/dpkg-like model. Igor
