So that you get his response. People sending email to this list don't *have* to be subscribed, though it's encouraged. If you prefer to have replies go to the list and not to you, set the "Reply-To" field to the cygwin list. This is appropriate to allow clients to infer the poster's intent and route any replies appropriately. I don't know how gmane works in this regard however.
