On this subject, part of the reason I'm converting the program "bsdiff" to cygwin is to allow patching to files already downloaded with updated versions, which doesn't seem to currently be supported.
Out of interest, has anyone thought of doing this before? would there be much chance of getting it supported if I tried to write to code to do it?
