Well that came out confused. Let me try again.. You have to mention what occurs, or we cannot help you solve it. Setup is known to work on every platform cygwin is supported for... which as the website states includes windows XP. Simply decribing what options you selected, what paths you put in, and what happens will help a lot. Your log files may be of use, but lets start simple..
