For /etc/hosts, my guess is there's some network-related process running that has it locked. You could try rebooting before trying to remove the file (or download the "handle" utility from sysinternals and see which process is holding the lock). As for /etc/lib, there is no such link on my system. Where does it point to? Igor P.S.
